Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing and well-being.
It has been developed in the early 1900's by Mikao Usui, and brought to us by a lineage of selected masters. Its name derives from Rei: Spirit and Ki: Life Force Reiki helps restore harmony in the mind, body and spirit. Life energy flows through our subtle bodies along pathways and chakras. When energy flows freely, we experience health and well-being. Conversely, when the flow of energy is disrupted or restricted, we are more vulnerable to illness. The Reiki treatment consists of the positioning of the master's hands on the receiver's body, with or without touch. It concentrates on the Chakras, energy centers along the spine, and on the main internal organs. Reiki has no ideological, political or religious purpose and does not aim at substituting any therapy or medical treatment.
