Morocco

Morocco has a fascinating and ancient culture rooted in the nomadic heritage of the Berber people from the desert and in the Arab and French influence of the cities. This trip took me from Casablanca to Marrakech and across the Atlas to the desert in Agdz, Ouarzazat, and Taroudant. Then I explored the coast around Agadir and in the south, returning back to Casablanca via Essauira.
I haven't found much yoga for travelers along my way, it is mainly offered within exclusive resorts like in the Club Med of Agadir, or along with surf in few towns along the south coast, like in Taghazout. In particular here I took a class with Anne, an Ashtanga and Vinyasa teacher from Holland that offers her classes at Villa Mandala and at Surf Maroc. There are a lot of opportunities for yoga teachers in Morocco since it's not that wide spread yet, in particular in Essauira. Ask me for more info if interested.
